Ex-Eagle Jeremiah Trotter blasts Andy Reid as a coach | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

Ex-Eagle Jeremiah Trotter blasts Andy Reid as a coach | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com: "Andy Reid currently is out of a job after being fired by the Philadelphia Eagles, though all indications are that he's close to becoming the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Suffice to say, if former Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter was advising the Chiefs (and why would he?), Kansas City might want to reconsider.

Here's what Trotter, who played seven seasons under Reid in Philadelphia, had to say during a roundtable on 97.5 FM The Fanatic radio station, via philly.com: "If it came down to both teams were even, talent-wise, I think the opponent's team would win if it came down to coaching. Andy Reid got out-coached in a lot of games, man, a lot of big games. Time outs, running the football, you know."

Trotter wasn't done there, either."

Report: Chiefs to hire ex-Eagle boss Reid | Fox News

Report: Chiefs to hire ex-Eagle boss Reid | Fox News: "ultiple outlets have reported that Reid, who was fired by the Eagles on Monday following a mostly successful 14-year tenure in Philadelphia, will agree to coach the Chiefs after undergoing an extensive interview with team owner Clark Hunt on Wednesday. An official announcement is expected to come at some point this week once the deal becomes finalized.

Reid had also planned to interview for the head coaching job in Arizona on Wednesday, but his meeting with that organization was canceled. The Arizona Republic reported on Thursday that the 55-year-old was longer considered a candidate by the Cardinals."

Chiefs Close To Hiring Andy Reid

Andy Reid’s ’95 percent’ chance seems to have moved from Arizona to Kansas City | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Andy Reid’s ’95 percent’ chance seems to have moved from Arizona to Kansas City | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports: "When it comes to CoachWatch rumors before said coaches are actually hired, it's best to heed the advice of the immortal Marvin Gaye: "Believe half of what you see, son, and none of what you hear." This is always a fluid process, and no process has been more so than the one involving former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid. Just a day after every NFL insider seemed to have the Arizona Cardinals as Reid's next destination, it now appears as if Reid is about to become the Kansas City Chiefs' new head coach. He would replace Romeo Crennel, who was fired on Monday, just as Reid was.
SI.com's Peter King notes that the Chiefs interviewed Atlanta Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong on Tuesday, which would satisfy the NFL's "Rooney Rule" requirement that a minority candidate be interviewed for every head coaching position."

Cardinals interview Horton, plan to meet with Reid - Yahoo! Sports

Cardinals interview Horton, plan to meet with Reid - Yahoo! Sports: "PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals officially have begun their coaching search with a formal interview of defensive coordinator Ray Horton.
The interview, conducted Tuesday by team president Michael Bidwill, was the first in the team's search for a replacement for Ken Whisenhunt, who was fired Monday after six seasons on the job.
The team has reached out to Andy Reid but had not scheduled an interview. Reid was fired Monday after 14 seasons as head coach in Philadelphia.
Bidwill plans to fly to Denver over the weekend to interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.
Horton, Reid and McCoy are the only candidates thus far identified by the Cardinals.
Horton is a rising star in NFL coaching circles, despite Arizona's lack of success."
